My name is Irena and I am the creator of the Cooked & Loved food blog, recipe developer, cookbook author, and nutritionally-balanced gelato enthusiast.

My Substack newsletter is an extension of my website. It’s my preferred way to connect with readers and to keep them updated on the latest content.

My newsletters feature new and old recipes, snippets of behind-the-scenes, personal musings, tips and tricks, and the latest finds and recommendations - all going directly to your inbox.

While my full recipes are also available on my website, this Substack newsletter is a great way to get to know me personally and to receive bonus content, meal ideas and more.

How It Works

Substack allows you to be a free or paid subscriber. Whichever you choose, you receive newsletters in your inbox. You can choose to read the full newsletter inside your email or you can click out and experience the same content inside the Substack website.

At the moment, all my subscribers are free. I am working on something fun and delicious to offer those readers who want to support my work via a small monthly or annual fee in the future.

Ultimately, this place is for sharing good content and engaging with my readers.

What Is Cooked & Loved?

Think of a dish you cooked and loved, either recently or in the past, that you continue to make on a regular basis or that you think everyone should try. It could be a recipe everyone asks for or the one you want to pass on to family and friends because you enjoyed it so much. Maybe it’s a go-to dinner for #MealtessMondays or that fail-proof chocolate cake you always make.

That’s the sort of food I like to share!

From old-time favourites to new dishes with a twist, my recipes are simple, delicious and often healthy-ish.

As well as publishing my recipes, I bring onboard exciting contributors to share their most cooked and loved dishes.  I also share my favourite ingredients and memorable recipes from cookbooks, travel destinations, and restaurant copycats.
