Last minute Easter weekend ideas
Whatever you're doing this Easter weekend, these dishes will make your plans A LOT tastier.
Hey guys,
I know you all can’t wait for this year’s Easter long weekend. Whether you celebrate it as a religious holiday or you simply take advantage of the extra days off, I thought I’d share some tasty dishes suitable for the occasion.
First of all, what the heck are you supposed to cook for Easter? Well, this really depends on where you live.
Growing up in Ukraine, I remember we always had fish or seafood and vegetarian dishes on Good Friday and many families made Paska, a subtly sweet, yeast-risen bread; there were also lots of hard-boiled eggs for painting, which were then consumed as devilled eggs or eggs in a Salad Debev (also known as Olivier) or Mimosa salad.
In Australia and the UK, lamb roast is often served on Easter Sunday and in many countries ham is a popular dinner choice. Then there are hot cross buns, asparagus, more eggs, and more meat roasts. And of course, lots of chocolate…
I’d love to know what your traditional go-to Easter dish is. Let me know in the comments.
